Summer Camps and Competitions
Empowering the Next Generation Through Hands-On STEM Experiences and Global Robotics Competitions
XRP by FIRST Summer Camps and Competitions bring robotics education to life through immersive, challenge-based experiences that transform students into problem-solvers and innovators. From intimate summer camps where high school students master autonomous programming and 3D printing, to large-scale competitions bringing together thousands of participants across multiple countries, these events create pathways for students to apply STEM skills in real-world scenarios.
Whether navigating the treacherous terrain of Mountain Mayhem, embarking on space missions in Orbit Odyssey, or competing for the opportunity to represent their nation at FIRST Global Challenge, students develop technical expertise alongside essential soft skills like teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking. Our camps and competitions don't just teach robotics—they build confidence, foster international collaboration, and inspire young minds to tackle tomorrow's challenges today. Join a growing global movement that's redefining STEM education through accessible, engaging, and transformative experiences.

Orbit Odyssey
This challenge places robots on unpredictable space missions, where they must navigate debris, complete orbits, and scan materials in space exploration conditions. Students develop skills in robotics, programming, engineering, and collaboration. It also includes the fun activity “Call for the Future,” where students send a postcard into space and receive it back with real mission stamps.

Mountain Mayhem
In this STEM adventure, teams face mountainous terrain where robots must transport snow to a reservoir and move rocks to a quarry, overcoming multiple obstacles. During the games, they face strategic challenges such as clearing ice and rocks, scoring snow loads, and parking in key areas under time pressure. An experience that encourages precise engineering, teamwork, and decision-making.
XRP FIRST® Competitions
FIRST® Global Panamá 2025
From October 29 to November 1, 2025, Panama City will hosted the FIRST Global Challenge, bringing together high school students from over 190 nations at the Panama Convention Center. This year's "Eco Equilibrium" challenge tasks teams with engineering robotic solutions to maximize biodiversity, with six nations collaborating as a global alliance to restore ecosystems before dividing into regional teams to secure future protections. This "Olympics-style" event showcases Panama as a crossroads of continents, uniting students from around the world.
For teams across Latin America—including champions from the STEAM Maker Challenge in El Salvador and Copa Robótica Argentina—FIRST Global represents the pinnacle of their robotics journey and an opportunity to represent their nations while collaborating with peers globally to tackle humanity's greatest challenges through STEM.
STEAM Maker Challenge 2025
Over 240 students came together to compete in the STEAM Maker Challenge 2025, organized by FUSALMO across two exciting divisions: TRANSFORMA and CREA. In the TRANSFORMA division, young innovators programmed robots to clear obstacles, "save" the city, and promote biodiversity—including protecting El Salvador's national tree. Meanwhile, in the CREA division, teams collaborated using XRP and REV robots to move seeds, remove barriers, and boost biodiversity with every strategic action.
The competition culminated in a thrilling victory for the CREA champion team, who earned the honor of representing El Salvador at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 in Panama. More than just a competition, the STEAM Maker Challenge 2025 was a celebration of teamwork, innovation, and hands-on STEM learning—proving that El Salvador's next generation of innovators is ready to tackle real-world challenges. Congratulations to all participants for making history and inspiring countless young minds across the nation!
Copa Robótica Argentina 2025
The largest student robotics event in Argentina brought together 3,660 students from 275 schools in seven provinces, forming 915 teams that advanced through online and in-person challenges. The competition assessed both computational thinking—with five progressive missions—and soft skills such as creativity, communication, and teamwork, with AI-powered evaluations.
More than 30 government officials attended, while local communities celebrated their champions with festivals, music, and media coverage. This event is redefining robotics education in Latin America by combining technology, equity, and cultural pride.
Pikes Peak Community College
During summer 2025, middle and high school students from Colorado Springs gathered at Pikes Peak Community College for a transformative one-week experience focused on workforce development and advanced manufacturing. Participants built and programmed XRP robots to conquer the Orbit Odyssey playing field, mastered autonomous coding, 3D-printed custom parts, and collaborated like NASA teams to solve cosmic challenges.
This hands-on camp does more than teach robotics—it ignites passion for STEM careers, equips students with real-world advanced manufacturing skills, and connects classrooms to future careers through industry mentorship. By blending cutting-edge technology with space exploration themes, Orbit Odyssey prepares today's students to become tomorrow's engineers, programmers, and innovators.
